Beginnings

 

Today is my birthday.

A day of new beginnings.

I am neither a royalist or a believer but the events of the last week have been of great interest and huge historical significance. 

I think many people of the UK have been moved by the ceremony and tradition following the death of Queen Elizabeth II and the accession to the throne of King Charles III.  It has been fascinating to watch and I have been glued to the television for the last few days.  An ending and a beginning rolled into one.

Another new beginning for me is my enrolment on a City and Guilds Hand Knitting Skill Stage 3 course.  It is many years since I undertook any formal education and I am really looking forward to getting involved in the coursework and will be using this blog to record my progress as well as other snippets of life.
